Those Funky Flatforms

Nasty Gal Dress, Free People Skirt, Vintage Glasses, H&M Hat, Urban Outfitters Shoes

Sometimes all it takes is a new pair of shoes to inspire me. Yesterday as I was waiting for my phone to get fixed, I wandered into Urban Outfitters (swearing I wouldn’t buy anything of course). But when you stumble upon a $15.00 pair of flatforms exclusively available in your size, you know it’s fate. Thus fueling the fire of my new fall obsession; chunky things.

Fierce Harem

Airport bound. Like most people, I’m always searching for that balance between comfortable lounge-wear and jet-setter chic. As I depart on to my next adventure in San Francisco I turned to my harem pants. Though everyone seems to have an opinion about the baggy pant style (even I had my fair share of eye-rolling), the harem style has grown on me. Besides being ridiculously comfortable, these bad boys are the ticket to pull off an effortless look.

River Walkin’

Dinner parties are always my favorite occasions to dress for because they’re my chance to try out a new look or test some new shoes I’m too afraid to commit a full day to. In this case, it was a chance to premiere a tanktop without a jacket (crazy I know). But after a long winter of coats and layers, this was a BIG deal for me. Needless to say I was reminded how much I love spring weather. Lucky for me, this is the first dinner occasions of many as my friends and I end our semester abroad and prepare our final hurrahs. I suppose they’re really just more opportunities to play dressup in the city.

Damask Dreamin’

DSC07692 - Version 2Meet Jami; the cutest, spunkiest bundle of sunshine to ever live. Although she’s normally behind the camera, today she stepped in front for a change (check out her blog here). She’s  one of those lucky people who can pull of any look and make a sweatshirt and denim jacket combo look like a million bucks. Today’s ensemble was no exception, and I couldn’t pass up the chance to feature such a beautiful damask piece.

The Casual Tee

I’ve never considered myself a T shirt and jeans kind of girl, but I’ve still yearned for a way to pull off the look tastefully. Offsetting a basic graphic shirt with some leather pants and structured hat did just the trick. Plus a pair of dark lips are always a safe bet for me.
