Bay Time
Since leaving the bay this summer, I’ve adapted a more effortless style in my day-to-day wear. With that, I’ve been focusing on detailing through accessories. It’s made resorting to my usual leggings look, feel less drab and a liiiiitle more trendy. So being back in the land of normcore and simple style, I felt adding some gold accents to my comfy clothes were the perfect ensemble.
High-Waisted Flow
Last Chance Blazer, PacSun Shorts, ASOS Boots, Urban Glasses
Last night I attended a lecture on The History of Fashion (Pre-Industrial Revolution) at the Phoenix Art Museum. I opted for some funky high waisted shorts for comfortable wear in the hot Tempe heat. Plus, they were way too much fun to dress up.

Summer Tulle
H&M Hat, Urban Glasses, Thrifted Shirt, Free People Skirt, Steve Madden Boots
I was always a whimsical child growing up, preferring tutus and colorful fairy wings to regular clothes. Though I stick to more neutral colors these days, that same playful spirit still makes its way into my closet from time to time. So when the “flower child” trend began showing up, the little girl in me jumped at the chance to wear those same whimsical tutus again. Though I’ve had this tulle skirt for over a year now, it’s still one of my favorite pieces to style from edgy to chic.
The Desert Midi
Top Shop Crop Top, Top Shop Midi, Charlotte Russe shoes, Urban Sandals
Well, I’m home in America! And while it may be 100 degrees outside, my London attitude still dominates my closet. Although most Arizonans opt for minimal clothing in the summer, I’ve found retrp midi-skirts to be my best friend. I welcomed the extra length as an alternative to the micro-micro skirts usually seen around the city. Plus they protect my legs from hot leather car seats and the scorching rays outside.
I think I’m starting to get a hold on this summer dressing thing 😉

Forever 21 Top, Urban Bralette, V&A Museum Cuff, Charlotte Russe Skirt, ASOS Boots, Primark Bag
Dinner parties are always my favorite occasions to dress for because they’re my chance to try out a new look or test some new shoes I’m too afraid to commit a full day to. In this case, it was a chance to premiere a tanktop without a jacket (crazy I know). But after a long winter of coats and layers, this was a BIG deal for me. Needless to say I was reminded how much I love spring weather. Lucky for me, this is the first dinner occasions of many as my friends and I end our semester abroad and prepare our final hurrahs. I suppose they’re really just more opportunities to play dressup in the city.
