Day 47: A sunny morning made for a beautiful run on the East end. I found this colorful gate just begging for a photo shoot so I stopped and had a look.

Day 46
Day 46: I imagine it’s pretty easy to tell what’s on my mind since this is the 4th food post this week!.Oh well, can’t blame a girl for loving her food! Today’s post is a yummy chicken broth soup. I actually had it yesterday buuuut all the pics I took today will be on the blog soon enough. I spent the day writing a paper for class and working on several posts for the week. This is starting to be a lot of fun 🙂
Day 45
Day 45: Home sweet home! Although I never got any bug bites, my roommates and I still took the precautions of disinfecting EVERYTHING we brought with us once we got home. 2 hours and multiple burn wounds later (kidding), we were finally rid of the hostel nightmare!

Day 44
Day 44: Bed bugs! Jill was up all night with bug bites so we decided to stay in Edinburgh and cancel the day trip we had planned up North. We hiked up to Arthur’s Chair for the best view in the city and even soaked our feet in the sand at Portobello beach. Although the water was FREEZING, you would have thought it was a sunny summer day with all the excited dogs playing.

Day 43
Day 43: After a long night bus ride to Scotland I finally arrived early Saturday morning. I ended up siting next to a girl from one of my classes who was headed to Edinburgh for the weekend and staying just a few blocks from me. How weird is that?! Later, I met up with my roommates who had arrived earlier and we went on a walking tour and enjoyed the company of fellow travelers at our hostel.

Day 42
Day 41
Day 41: I went to the architecture exhibit at the Royal Academy of the Arts. Although I’ve never been much of an architecture person, this visit really opened my eyes to the possibilities of such an art form. My favorite piece was Diebedo Fracis Kere. The exhibit featured a white tunnel for visitors to thread bright straws through. The straws acted as an ever-changing cloak of color while creating a sense of community in the room.

Day 39
Day 38

Day 38: London caught a few rays today! Though the weather has been very manageable thus far, quality sunshine is a rare occasion. Kirby and I were so excited that we walked all the way to primrose hill to admire the landscape of beautiful London Town.
