Maybe I’m just a sucker for a sunshine but this spring weather never fails to put me in a great mood. Even after waking up for a 6 am flight back to London, the blue skies waiting for me made me as chipper as ever!
Month: March 2014
Day 71
Happy St. Paddy’s Day! Having been celebrating on the Emerald Isle for a few days now, I didn’t think the town could get more festive for the holiday. Boy was I wrong! By morning, the streets of Dublin were flooded with green for the city’s their annual parade (that’s surely not doing it justice). The best part of the day was learning some Irish River dancing moves from Nancy, an adorable little old lady. Never been more proud of my Irish roots!
Bucket List, check!
Day 70
Day 69
Corned Beef! Having two midwesterners on the trip, finding the perfect Irish CornedBeef was Saturday’s mission. After asking a few locals we ended up at O’Neil’s for an amazzzinggg meal.

Day 68
Day 67
I had a blast at Martin Creed’s What’s the point of it? exhibit at the Hayward Gallery . His pieces spanned across all medias and begged viewers to question their own standards of “art”. Each piece was thought provoking (and hilarious) but definitely not for the squeamish. Here’s a picture of me in a big balloon pit! That was my favorite part 🙂
The Power of Journaling
I’ve always hated the idea of keeping a journal. After a long day, it seemed like I was just adding a useless task on my never-ending to-do list. But lately I’ve realized how beneficial journaling can feel. At first I only turned to journaling it as a stress coping method, but it’s more of a way to problem solve and self reflect. It’s like a new friend but one you never have to worry about talking about that boy too.
Journaling can…
-Help reduce stress
-Be something you look back on years later and see the old you
-It encourages deep self-reflection (like you wouldn’t believe)
-Can help you find clarity in problems, and ultimately make you a better problem solver
-Be more organized, both mentally and physically
Every time after I journal I just feel better. No matter what I write down, it always feels so freeing to get it off my chest and out in the open. It’s kind of like working out; it takes some getting used to but you never regret it later on.
Here are some easy rules to get you started:
-You don’t have to journal everyday! Do it when you can. I only journal about twice a week, and I still feel the benefits from it. It you have 5 minutes, write three bullet points and call it day! Every little entry helps.
-You do NOT have to handwrite! I use the app Diary on my mac and I love it! Plus, you can sync it with your phone so you can sync entries on all your devices.
-DO add pictures, this is a great way to capture what you’re writing about and capture the memories.
-Talk about anything and everything, your journal is only as good as your honesty.
-Make a commitment to it and reap the benefits!
Happy Journaling!

Day 66
Day 65
Day 64
Now presenting Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium! After launching a kick starter campaign a couple of months back, Lady D’s finally opened in Shoreditch. It’s like any other tea house but this one has cats running around for you to play with! I’m not much of a cat person but when I knew my feline-loving friends were coming to town I booked the first appointment available. Lucky for me because now they’re booked till May!
Needless to say the day was a huge success!
