Day 71
Happy St. Paddy’s Day! Having been celebrating on the Emerald Isle for a few days now, I didn’t think the town could get more festive for the holiday. Boy was I wrong! By morning, the streets of Dublin were flooded with green for the city’s their annual parade (that’s surely not doing it justice). The best part of the day was learning some Irish River dancing moves from Nancy, an adorable little old lady. Never been more proud of my Irish roots!

Day 70
More exploring! The highlight of the day was stumbling upon a mini jazz festival in town. Apparently, the Dublin has a HUGE music scene because there was live music and performers everywhere we went. It was the best way to enjoy the pubs and people.
Day 69
Corned Beef! Having two midwesterners on the trip, finding the perfect Irish CornedBeef was Saturday’s mission. After asking a few locals we ended up at O’Neil’s for an amazzzinggg meal.
Day 68
Ahoy Ireland! My roommates and I are in Dublin for the weekend to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! On our first day we went to the beautiful Cliffs of Moher. They were absolutely breathtaking and gave us a chance to see Ireland coast-to-coast. More pictures to come in my travel post 🙂
Day 67
I had a blast at Martin Creed’s What’s the point of it? exhibit at the Hayward Gallery . His pieces spanned across all medias and begged viewers to question their own standards of “art”. Each piece was thought provoking (and hilarious) but definitely not for the squeamish. Here’s a picture of me in a big balloon pit! That was my favorite part 🙂
Day 66
Woke up to a foggy morning, and prepared for a cold, wet day. To my surprise, once I got to class the sun was shining making an eery “sunshine fog”. Made for a cool picture!
Day 61
Serena and Nicole are here! These are my first visitors to Londontown and I’m excited to show them around. We walked on the Thames, enjoyed some live music and stuffed ourselves silly with Indian food.
Day 60
Headed to the Museum of London for class, to learn more of the history of the city. The museum did a wonderful job displaying their historical exhibits in modern terms. Here’s a picture of some old graffiti
Day 57
Today I indulged in an amazing Turkish Bath and Massage at the Crystal Palace (whoop Groupon!) which included a fabulous steam room, private massage and mud bath. It was just the thing I needed to rejuvenate for the remaining semester. I’m excited to take on the next few months with a clean slate.
